1. How do we begin the process of building a website? Once you have established your primary objectives for your website, begin to gather the data (graphics and text) that will make up the content for the various pages on your site. We will work together to determine the most effective way to present your business. It is useful if you can point us to one or more websites that you particularly admire, and tell us why. 2. Once I gather the info how do I get it to you? You can mail photos or CDs to us; or send JPEG, GIF or PDF image attachments through e-mail. All photographic prints that are sent to us will be returned at the end of the project. 3. How long does it take to get a new website online? This depends on how extensive your website is, and also on how quickly you can get the necessary content materials to us. The sooner we receive your information, the sooner we can begin the design process. Past projects have ranged from several weeks to three months. 4. Once our website is completed and online, how do people find us? We will register your site with major search engines at no extra charge. We will help you understand how the link propogation process works and how long it takes. If you want to seriously promote your site there are several different paying programs we can discuss such as pay-per-click or ad words. One of the most important steps you can do on your end is to thoroughly integrate your web address into everything. That means making it as prominent as your telephone number - on your letterhead, business cards, brochures, advertisements, press releases, newsletters, etc. Also, you can make arrangements for "reciprocal linkage". This means your web address (URL) is made available on someone else's site, and their URL is listed on your site, so you each can benefit from the combined group of visitors. The more reciprocal links, the greater the opportunity for new visitors. 5. What happens if we occasionally need to make content changes? We will be happy to make the changes for you on an "as needed" basis at our standard rate. You have the option to make those changes yourself if you have the necessary equipment and expertise.
